Love Puffs....Hate The Box!

This time of year we all need our Puffs!
But they come in the ugliest boxes I have ever seen!
While using one of my puffs today,
I decided to give my box a quick makeover!

Got an old paper back book with brown pages,
my glue stick,
an craft knife,
some rubber stamps,
an ink pad,
and I was on my way!

I just applied the glue to the box
and pressed down the pages.
No certain order, just what every strikes your fancy!
Was super easy!

Took my knife and cut out the top and that was that!

I thought a few rubber stamps might make it look a little better.
But you have to put your fingers inside the box
so you can have something to press the stamp on!
The first stamp I made, messed up,
not to worry,
I just pasted another piece of paper over my mistake!

You could paste ribbon or pictures on here,
but I decided since the box would be empty in a couple of weeks,
I wouldn't get to crafty with it!
That way I won't worry about throwing it in the trash!

This little project only took me about 10 minutes and I enjoy doing it!

Now my Puffs box looks like a work of art!
Much better! Don't you think?

Submit this to the Puffs people maybe it will inspire them to get with the times and put some style to their boxes! I have mine hidden in the cupboards or if I am sick stuffed behind the pillows of the couch. Tee hee

Okay- You and me~ Baby! I hate all those Puffs and Kleenex boxes too. I have been known to save the ones I like....gently undo the bottom flap and refill them from an uglier box. Is that sad, or what? They used to have some cute Christmas ones but I can't even find those this year.

I love your little dressed up Tbox...and you can always read it while you sit and blow your nose... Smiles- Diana

Love the redo!! I agree about the tissue boxes. I guess they match some people's decor, but not mine.:) I covered a small tote box that soap, etc., came in from WmSo that I use in my half bath for odds and ends - looks much better.
Enjoy your weekend.

LOVE IT! I am always digging around looking for a pretty kleenex box. Just a hint...you could rubber stamp before you put the paper on the box to save you the frustration. I am definitely going to do this!!
Blessings~

Fun idea but I would not throw it away when it is empty, foof it up and store bits of ribbons or lace or clippings for collage in there! You have me eyeing my Puffs box, hee hee!

Have a great weekend!

Don't throw it away after it's empty. How great would it be as a ribbon or string dispenser?
Like I told ya...some are born to decorate and.....

Great idea! I also think they are such ugly boxes....I actually try to buy the ones with brown. I use a planter made from small ceiling tiles that my husband made in one of our bathrooms. Maybe we could "get rich quick" if we think of some wonderful idea for an easy tissue paper cover....LOL.

Good idea and why do they make the boxes so God awful ugly?
I mean seriously, it is something we have to have out to use - so why not up the style factor?

Theresa, you are such a clever girl! Now I could have that box on my bedstand. Love it!

Your little ironstone problem is a problem I would love to have. I don't know how in the world you could part with any of it!!!! What a beautiful collection.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas dear friend.
Okay, I'll show some full room shots soon. But remember, my house isn't nearly as awesome as yours.
hugs to you...

What a great idea! I just love projects that involve old book pages, so this is right up my alley! Maybe Puffs will hire you to design their boxes:)!

Total simple genious! Trader joe's had some fun and good looking T boxes, but the tissues left a lot to be desired and they were a bit pricey. I bought em anyway. Jacqueline

The mark of a true genius, i would say, is one who by inspiration is seized when she doth reach for a kleenex post sneeze.

:)

Excellent! Your whole world is made lovelier by you being in it!!
