Working On Those Bare Walls!

Sarah worked for me Tuesday so I could start putting my house back together!
I am very tired of looking at bare walls!

When we did the floors I had to stop work on the house and start working on inventory for the Texas show. When we got home from Texas I had to get the shop up and running, then my son came home for 2 weeks!

I've had a few ideas for some salvage pieces that I've had for a while. I don't want to bring hoards of furniture back in the house, remember I've been going through that less is more stage. And I don't want the house to be decorated the same way it was before we put the floors down.

I used this door in my bedroom for a while as a head board, thought it would make a great server for the dining room. I had decided to take over the sunroom for the dining room.

The fact that all my rooms are long a narrow, I had to think up some ways to take up space without large pieces of furniture. I am loving how this turned out! With the addition of some of my favorite smalls, I think I will be set. I'm looking for a long dining table for this space but that might take a while.

More projects to come as I can find the time to get to them.
Wait till you see what I used for my head board!

Oliver came to visit Monday!
Look at that sweet face!
Oh, grandma is the best job in the world!

Leave it to you to come up with a sensational remedy for a tricky spot. I have a bowling alley room too and I never thought about something like your door/server. This is why you are the best...simply the best.
BTW...how does Oliver feel about older women...not me silly...Bella. He is precious.

I am laughing at Debbie's comment!

Oliver is truly adorable....I want to be a grammie...one day :) And as for the server/buffet? Holie Molie!! LOVE IT! I told my girlfriend the other day that I was carrying a crowbar in my car and if I come upon an old abandoned house out in a field somwhere, and it just so happens to have any sort of architectural pieces attached to said house? I am going to get my crowbar and wrench it off, because I LOVE that stuff and you just cannot find it down here!

I cannot wait to see the room finished! Your floors look fabulous!

Dear Oliver,

I have toys and all things that little boys would want to get in to. Heck - I even have a boy you can entertain for days...

Please bring your Grandma to decorate my house...

And her really really really spectacular door.

Thank You,
Robelyn.
