Let it Snow!

We are getting some snow fall this morning and it is so beautiful!
There's not much on the ground yet,
but it's supposed to snow all day long!

What is about snow that is so peaceful,
it's like time stands still and nothing else matters.

I love snow, but not for long periods of time.
I know there are several of you out there getting hammered
with loads of snow and this doesn't show you anything.
But we don't get much snow fall here.

This is bird nest, glad there are no eggs!

Cold, concrete lion, showing the best of his crusty goodness!

Bird house cottage buried in snow!

A lovely place to set and enjoy the snow!

Field in front of our house, no it's not mine, wish it was!

  2. Enjoy your winter wonderland!
There's nothing like a pre-white Christmas to get you in the spirit of the season. :)

  3. Happy Sunday
It is snowing and blowing here this morning, 45 mph winds... blizzard baby! My poor mother, they have the same winds with 21" of snow fall. But I am cozy and decorating the house today, finally. With all I have been doing it is all going up very late but I will leave it up for awhile longer this year.
I love that bird house - did you make that? So cute!
Sin? Ha, some people put themselves under such bondage. That religiosity is what is sinful... hymnal music, please. She would have a heart attack in my house.
Stay warm and enjoy your snow!
    Blessings

  6. Love snow too. I know lot's of people dread it, but I would much rather watch snow falling than a drab grey winter. A white Christmas is magical.

  8. We got a few flurries this morning, but my daughter lives approx. 100 miles North of me had an inch at 10:30 and it was still snowing. Have not talked with her since so don't know if they got much more or not. I could go without snow all Winter and it would not bother me at all. :)

  10. I love how when it snows you can see further into the woods etc. Into parts that usually blend in with the brown, and then suddenly it is all clean and white in there and you can see so far in. We get snow very rarely around here, so when it does snow we revel in it. thank you for sharing. Stay warm.!

  14. We are on lake effect snow watch expecting 8 to 12 inches. So far we have about 4 inches but blustery wind! The snow is beautiful, and I don't mind it, I just hate to trudge out to the chicken coop in it. My first year with chickens, so I worry about them. It sure makes the Chrismas lights beautiful!

  17. Theresa- I just wanted to tell you first that I really love the way your blog looks since the makeover...although I loved the old one too...

If you'd like a little extra snow I can surely fill a few semis with it and head them your way...no charge for the snow - just the freight. We have about 15" at last count and the wind is whipping like crazy. I prefer your much more peaceful and serene looking snowfall! hugs- Diana

  24. Followed you over to your new digs! That is just beautiful! It reminds me of home. I love seeing just a dusting. Forget the blizzards and the ice storms. I'll take this any day! BTW, it will be 25 degrees tonight in Orlando, Florida my friends. Can you believe that?

  29. Tot,
I love the beauty & silence of a winters snow. Last year we had the most amazing snow storm & our street looked magical. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas myself. BTW, love your new look. But no baby head? It's the TWI national bird! Lisa

  31. GORGEOUS pictures! I think I love snow, but I don't know for sure, because I live in Florida :) and have pretty much my whole life (cept for a brief stint in Georgia and Alabama)

    BUT

It was TEN degrees here in North Florida (Tallahassee) yesterday with the wind chill factor, and our high today was 40 and tonight we're in the teens!

I say if it's gonna be this cold we should get some snowflakes out of the deal!!!

But in the meantime, I'll pretend i am sitting on that bench you posted, looking at that lion. :)
