Vintage Friday #10~Finding Your Style

Today I decided to link up to
for her Vintage Friday #10~Finding your style!
This is the first time I've ever done one of these linky things, so I hope I do it right!
I'm not really sure what to call my style!
I always say Primitive Elegance!
I like all sorts of things!
To start with I love anything alabaster,
but I love to add something unusual like
the weird baby doll with the top of her head gone!
I like to add books anywhere I can,
I think they lend a vintage charm and they add height.
I love coral, sea fans, clocks, architectural salvage,
old stained up prints,
well you get the jest of what I'm trying to say!
We can't forget feathers and iron, with rust!
I hang shelves over my windows,
I can't bare to let unused space go to waste!

But lets not forget
all the chippy goodness of an old cupboard!
I can't resist anything with peely paint!
Oh, I almost forgot, to add mirrors to the list!

And tons of ironstone!
Believe it or not I've gotten rid of 75%
of the ironstone I used to own!
The blue in this cupboard is the only color in my house!
To sum it all up, I think I like to much stuff!
So you can decide what you think my style is called,
cause I don't really know!
Thanks for stopping by!

  16. I love your style and all your decorative elements! My daughter gave her style a name {I'd never heard of it and I do interior decorating!} Romantic Goth! She just loved a picture from Romantic Country magazine and that was how she referred to it. I guess sometimes you have to make up a name for your own style!

  30. Hi Theresa, I love your style whatever it is. I too love alabaster. I have a pretty good collection of it, just can't resist buying it! I think a lot of us are alike in that we love so many different styles it's hard to pin point what our exact style is. I do know that my favorite is Shabby Chic, and anything French, but have many other loves too! Hope you have a wonderful week!!! hugs~~~ Daphne

  32. Hey Theresa,
Looked for your email but couldn't find it. Just wanted to give you a heads up that your link on Kathleens went to Faded Charm. I wondered when I clicked on whose it was? ....then I saw your post.
Just need to go back in and put your html in. I've messed up the linky thingy myself before!
