Before and After

I promised I would show before and after pictures of the items we bring to the show.
Seems someone complained to show promoter that we bring NEW stuff to the show.
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Well, I promise NOTHING we bring to Marburger is NEW!
We work our asses off trying to REINVENT each and every piece!
Now when we get done with it, it might look like new,  BUT it's not!
Sit back and enjoy the BEFORE and AFTER pictures of our treasures!

after-this turned out to be my favorite piece!

Hope you've already made plans to attend the show.
I'll be at Marburger Farms

Bittersweet Decisions

As most of you know I've had my shop now for almost a year! And I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you that has come from far and near to support me. When I opened the shop I was in hopes that's that it would replace (financially) one or two shows that we do throughout the year. BUT that's just not the case. While the shop has done well it's not doing good enough to fore go any of the big shows that  we do. And I have to have a totally different inventory for the store than I do for the shows, that means keeping up two different styles.

In the upcoming months we are facing several medical events that will prevent me from being in the store. First of all, Craig will be having HIP replacement surgery on Nov. 6th. After that surgery comes some knee work, not sure exactly what that will be. So we are looking at 3 month window that he will be out of commission. That will mean several visits to Doctors and a couple of months of physical therapy. There is no way I can be two places at once, and I'm sure he won't be able to drive a car with his whole leg in a brace.

The only alternative I see is to close the shop. I know there are several of you still making plans to come visit me. Oct. 20th will be the last day I am open, that will be the day of the crossing festival here in town. You still have time to come visit.

I also decided that I may eventually have some sales at my house. If any of you would be interest in being on my mailing list please email me your address and I will add you.

Workin, workin, workin!

Not bringing these things,
cause they are from a previous show in Brimfield in 2010.
All of these treasures were sold at the show.
BUT, we will be bringing some great looking things like this!
I have washed, washed, priced, priced, priced some more and toted tons of smalls.
And Craig has been working like a crazy man to get things finised!
It's getting to the point now that I'm starting excited about the show.
I'm looking forward to seeing all our old friends and catching up on the last 6 months.
Make plans to come to Marburger Farms while your in Texas.
We are in Tent H, Booth 17.

It's That Time Of Year

When the push is on to get ready for Marburger Farms!
I can't believe it's only 2 months away!
And these days I don't seem to be finding much time for blogging.
The shop is doing great and it's keeping me busy trying to keep it stocked full.
I'm not complaining.
I had one of my good cupboards in there that was going to Texas and it sold the other day! Yikes!
Craig has started the metal makeovers on the industrial furniture,
and today I'm gonna start going through all the tote's of smalls I'm been hoarding back.
Gotta get that stuff cleaned and priced.
I'm already getting excited about the the show, can you tell.
I'll try to do more blogging, so I can let you guys know whats going on.
Very soon when Craig gets some furniture finished I will be showing
the before and after pictures of his work.

Fun Time at The French Market

We had a great time this weekend at The French Market.
I wanna say thanks to all the bloggers,
Face Bookers and customers from my store that came out to shop!
It was great to see all you all!
I enjoyed doing a smaller show than I'm used to.
Sold tons of smalls and handmade items.
Didn't sell any furniture, but that's ok, I really need it in the shop.

I stepped out of the  box and did a mostly black booth.
And of course, I had to add some burlap.

The only thing I'm sorry about is that the weekend came and went way to fast.
I had the pleasure to hang out with my some of my favorite peeps, Donna and Rebecca.
Oh, I almost forgot, it was fun hanging out with April and Jodie to!
Gosh, we had a lot of laughs!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
