It's About Time

Here's the colors!
Yes gray!
Bedroom, top color.
Living room, bottom color.
I am so sick of white!
I really needed a change!
It's on!
Been painting my little heart out with the help of my daughter!
Thank you Sarah!

Goodbye chandelier!

Goodbye white tile!
Hello Lillie!

Goodbye chandelier number 2!

Hello gray!
I was so nervous while I was painting I almost fainted!

Hello mister floor man!
As most of you all know,
I've had hard wood flooring laying in my sunroom for over a year now!
It's finally happening!
It's getting laid!
Yeah!

Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you!
I love you mister floor man!

The flooring actually makes the gray seem a little lighter!
I can't wait to get all my white furniture in the room!
I think it's really gonna pop against those gray walls!

I'm loving it!
Be still my heart!
Can you tell I'm excited?

I will be adding some white baseboard!
I even painted my bedroom gray!
It's a little lighter!
Doesn't look like it in the picture.
It's not much lighter,
but it is what it is!
I'm just happy to have it painted!

Oh! Miss Lillie!
How did you get in there?
Oliver is due any day now!
We are on pins and needles!

  13. I absolutely love it! Great color choices! Can hardly wait to see everything back in place, or rearranged, painting will make you want to change more things around, and make you want to sell more stuff! A lot of work, but a lot of fun too!

  14. I think the contrast of the gray you picked with white furniture is going to really look cool, I am so happy to see someone take a completely different step than everyone else and do what they want to do. I was very tired of white when I painted my house a complete crayola box four years ago. Love it!

  19. I thought I was dreaming when I saw this!!!! I absolutely love love love your new gray palette. I still enjoy seeing all white rooms, even though it would never work in my house. Your furniture will seem new with the stronger backdrop.
You are going to feel like you are in a new place!!!
Wondering where you're headed with the light fixtures???

  20. TOT- I love it. One of my fondest memories was going to visit someone from NY that owned a little department store and lived above it in Athens, PA. I was babysitting their grandchildren and when I got there the interior of their place was all painted gray. I had never seen anyone that had gray paint before. Their artwork just popped off the walls. That memory has always stuck with me..even though I never copied it. Your place is looking gorgeous. What a difference that white moulding will make too. I can't WAIT to see it all "dressed". I am almost as excited as you. xo Diana

  25. As much as we all love white , we need change after a while. I'm going from darker to all white. It feels so refreshing to me. But in a couple of years I'll be craving color again.

  28. Your room looks gorgeous!! I love the gray too. I have had a can of gray paint for 4 months now sitting in my son's bedroom. I was going to try and paint it before he got home for the summer but that didn't work. Now he's heading back to school in two weeks and hopefully it will be painted before he comes home for Christmas :)
The hardwood floor is beautiful and makes such a difference in your room.
Look forward to seeing the finished room.

  34. I am loving gray these days and yours is beautiful! Putting in your floor reminds me of doing that in our dining room several years ago. Sure thankful for a son who works at a modular home manufacturer. He can do anything!
(But then so can my hubby :)
I would have to use a light gray in my house or it would look like a dungeon, but I do love yours too!!!!
    Blessings~
